EMPWR Solar delivers clean energy solutions across the U.S. with a mission rooted in innovation and efficiency. As the company scaled, they recognized the need for a more powerful digital infrastructure; one that could support complex workflows and bring different operational tools into a single, cohesive system.
EMPWR Solar came to Eterna with a specific request: to finalize their Insightly project and object management setup. After completing that phase quickly, we began working closely with their team to explore broader CRM improvements.
They brought clear goals and a deep understanding of their operational needs. With their input, we identified integration opportunities and mapped out how their ideal system would function. EMPWR provided direction on the platforms they wanted to connect and the workflows they aimed to streamline. Our team handled the technical deep dive: reviewing API documentation, testing system behaviors, and designing custom-built solutions that aligned with their objectives.
Throughout the process, EMPWR remained actively involved, helping refine the approach and ensuring the final system supported their larger vision for connected, efficient operations.
We worked in phases, building smart integrations and internal workflows that could scale with EMPWR’s ambitions. Each step added momentum, setting the foundation for deeper automation and better decision-making.
We began with a tailored object and project management framework using Insightly’s built-in features. This created a reliable structure for tracking progress, assigning tasks, and managing project data across departments.
Our next step involved building Node.js-based Lambda functions to handle automated data flows within Insightly. These functions could trigger Insightly API actions, pull data from external tools, and keep everything in sync. To keep things running smoothly, we layered in Insightly workflow automations that managed lifecycle events and performed data integrity checks.
To support EMPWR’s financing process, we connected Insightly with Lightreach. We built webhook-driven sync systems to update or create financing records automatically. Each entry linked directly to the appropriate Insightly project, with logic built to detect missing data and enrich records on the fly. Timeline stats were updated in real time using internal field functions.
We also connected Insightly to Spark, EMPWR’s insurance platform. Through API integration, data flowed both ways. As project details changed, insurance records reflected those updates instantly. We used middleware built with Lambda functions and automation logic to ensure seamless operation.
Lastly, we built a data bridge between Enerflo and Aurora. This allowed real-time syncing between project management and solar design tools. When events occurred in Enerflo, our system triggered API calls to Aurora—keeping project design records current and accurate without manual intervention.
EMPWR Solar now runs an integrated CRM system that reflects the complexity and scale of their operations. Together, we built a framework where data flows seamlessly between departments, external platforms, and internal processes. Integrations operate quietly in the background, while updates and records remain aligned in real time.
The system is designed to adapt. As EMPWR’s operations evolve, the architecture supports new layers of functionality with ease. This ongoing partnership allows both teams to stay agile, collaborative, and focused on building forward together.
Eterna as a whole is incredibly responsive. I always feel like a priority, not just a client, and this has been consistent with everyone I've communicated with.
